School Behavioural Support Program

School Behavioural Support Program (SBSP)

A program to help integrate children with behavioural or social challenges into their academic environments as successfully as possible. For students from 5 to 18 years.

Attending school can be challenging for some children – as well as for their family and school. Our School Behavioural Support Program (SBSP) supports children who may need specialist social, behavioural, academic and general support – along with their families and teachers/school(s) – to make the integration into school as easy as possible.

How It Works

A Learning for Life Clinical Consultant works with each child in the classroom and advises the teacher, school and family on the best academic, social and general behaviour support strategies for assisting that child. They are also available to provide professional development in ABA-based behaviour management strategies to the classroom teacher and broader school staff, as needed.

Available for families in Melbourne and rural Victoria

The SBSP is open to all primary and secondary school children on the spectrum as well as children who do not have a diagnosis but may have behavioural or social challenges. It is available throughout Melbourne and into rural Victoria.

Testimonial

“Our association with L4Life has grown into an exemplary partnership where the ideal team approach to the education of a child has been developed. Through guidance from Emma (L4Life’s Clinical Director) and her team, we have built a process for the inclusion of children where clear goals are agreed to by parents, teachers, therapists, psychologists, OT’s, speech therapists, etc.”
