Working with Educators to Strengthen Inclusive Education Practises
Inclusion Works® helps schools build inclusive education practices by working directly in classrooms with teachers and education support staff. Through hands-on coaching, practical tools, and ongoing professional development, the program supports educators to make real-time changes with lasting impact. Based on the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Inclusion Works® also engages school leaders to embed and sustain inclusive practices across the whole school.
Why choose Inclusion Works®
Developed by L4Life’s multidisciplinary team of psychologists, educators and behaviour specialists, Inclusion Works® moves beyond short-term workshops. Over a twelve-month period, it embeds mentorship, builds staff knowledge, skills and confidence, and supports schools to implement and sustain evidence-based inclusive practices tailored to their unique needs.
Key Features include:
- Whole-school coaching: L4Life staff work closely with all school staff, including teachers, education support staff, leadership and more, adapting support to context and capacity.
- Evidence-based strategies: Educators are guided to implement validated inclusive practices that support a diverse range of learning needs.
- Customised tools and resources: Each school receives adaptable materials tailored to student cohorts, teacher experience levels, and specific challenges.
- Continuous data collection and evaluation: Regular monitoring of student engagement, classroom practice and teacher confidence to assess and strengthen impact.
The Inclusion Works® program is informed by data and insights from our Inclusion Works® Research Project and is delivered by a highly experienced team specialising in positive behaviour support for children aged 2–18. Our facilitators bring:
- Specialist expertise in behaviour support, including psychologists, behaviour analysts, and specialist teachers.
- In-depth knowledge of DET policies, DIP funding models, and NDIS frameworks to ensure alignment with school and funding structures.
- A focus on all students, not just those with an autism diagnosis, to foster truly inclusive education.
Flexible pathways, one purpose: inclusion that lasts
At the heart of Inclusion Works® is our 12-month intensive program — designed to upskill and coach teachers and education support staff in their classrooms, embed sustainable strategies, and foster inclusive school communities.
To better meet schools where they are, we also offer tailored program streams that maintain our focus on best-practice inclusion:
Full Inclusion Works® Program – Our flagship 12-month model offering comprehensive, embedded support across the school.
Ongoing Support Model – A flexible, lower-intensity option offering consultant-led support tailored to your school’s needs. This model may include teacher training and consultation, targeted small-group support for students, and assistance with funding applications — delivered when and where it’s needed.
Targeted Student Support – A tailored 12-month program designed to support a specific group of students requiring additional assistance. Our team works directly with students, while also partnering with school staff to provide hands-on professional learning. By involving educators throughout the process, we help ensure that inclusive strategies are understood, embedded, and sustained well beyond the life of the program. This program is often suited when working with students with Tier 3 levels of support.
Our facilitators work closely with schools to identify the best model for their unique requirements.
An Inclusion Works® model for Early Years is on the way, specifically designed for educators and support staff who work with children in Kindergartens and Child Care Centres. We’re excited to share more soon!
